FIRE IN WOOL.
By telegraph, Press Ass’n, Copyright Sydney, June 19. I The opinion of the local wool experts is . opposed to the London suggestion that ■ g rß g in wool cargoes are the result of sheep dips. It is pointed out that sheep l are dipped immediately after they are ! shorn, Even if dips oontained ingredients of a oombustiblo nature, they would have | evaporated before the next shearing. It is hinted the suggestion in regard to dips \ may have emanated from some interested j j quarter. The more general opinion favors ■ ■ the belief that the fires were caused by the f dampness of the wool.
