America, India, and Ceylon.’’ The meeting is to bo in the Theatre Royal on Monday next, admission by tickets. A 1 profits go to help the Society. We aro indebted to Mr Frank G. LundoD, architect, who was employed by the Government on the new Bath House plans for the new bath buildings at Rotorua, for the following description of the buildings now in the course of erection, and a view of a photograph of the elevation. The building will be 320 ft long, the main feature of which is the centre hall, surmounted by a pretty and well-pro™ portioned octogan tower at the intersection of the gable roofs. This portion of the building is two-storied, the wings which extend on either side (north and south), being of one story only. The entrance hall contains i • vuuouiung rooms, Traiolug - auu dressing rooms, and ticket office, and two elaborate and easy-winding staircases leading to the gallery above, which runs round the hall, providing room for an orchestra, and giving a view of tho hall below and the beautiful lake and gardens from the many windows in east and west ends. On either side of the entrance hall corridors lead to the baths, which include Rachel, Priest (private and public), swimming, douche, Aix, massage, mud, sulphur, vapor, and sun baths, with extensive dressing-rooms to each. Tho baths are of porcelain and the floors throughout tiled with red tiles, which will give the whole a clean and inviting appearance. The design is treated in the old English half-tim- | bered style throughout, and is most elaborate. The construction is somewhat unique, being of local pumice concrete for the foundation and partition walls, and the outer walls of heavy totara rebated tinbers with 1] inch cement panels between, and lath and plaster internally. The roofs are redtiled, which, with the many projecting gables and verandahs, gives the building a very showy appearance. The building will be situated in the Sana

torium Grounds on a small peninsula, with the Lake Rotorua on either side. The present contract is let to Mr Hutchinson, of Auckland, for and the building when completed should tend to increase the popularity of Rotorua as a health resort,
