There is good demand for all olasßos of lamb, and the stocks on hand are heavy and widely distributed amongst the agents, who are pushing sales. The average price for Canterbury lamb is 4J«d, other brands than Canterbury 4£d. The beef market is quiet, but firm, and there is no ohange in prices. The report in regard to butter shows the arrivals to be very light, and the market firm, and advanced to 103 s to 104 s for choioest New Zealand brands. Danish is quoted at 112 s, and Siberian 97s per owt. Cheese : The market is Bteady, with only small supplies on hand. White is 'quoted at 65’, and colored makes 60s per owt. ‘ Hemp is firm, i and there is no change in price. Cocksfoot : The market ie steady, and the demand only moderate. The average prioe for 171 b bright, olean-dressed New Zealand feed is 47s per owt. There is fair demand for the better grades of kauri gum, and the following are the latest quotations : Ordinary fair three-quarter scraped £6 10s, fair half-soraped 60s, brown fair half tc-thrre-quarter scraped 83s, brown piokings common to good 47», bush fair to good, pale aud amber soraped £7 10s per owt, The stock on hand is 1122 tons,
