Mr Balfour’s amendment protests against the guillotining of tbe Eduoation Bill in oompartments on tbe ground that it is unjust to unduly limit so important a discussion,
One hundred and fifty Liberal members of tbe House of Commons memorialised the Government to tako farther action to repatriate Chinese. Tbe House of Lords reoeived reports and tbe amendments in the Colonial Marriage B 11. Lord Helsbury intimated that be would no longer oppose the Bill.
