MOORE AND MEAT.
HE WANTS PARLIAMENTARY ENQUIRY.
(Per Piess Association.) Wellington, last night. Mi- Moore, a member of the Hospital trustees, who intended to move for a Royal Commission to investigate the meat trade of the city, has withdrawn the motion, and says : —’• I will request Messrs Field and Wilford, M.H.R.’s, to move in Parliament for the appointment of either a Royal Commission or a select committee to investigate the subjeot, whioh is really i ooe that demands Parliamentary attention, Without personally reflecting upon the Minister of Lmds, I oannot see my way to aooept bis invitation to place the I evidence upon whioh my allegations are I used in h<s hands for investigation, seeing I that a department under hi 3 control is I concerned.”
