Sydney, June 12; The secretary of the Afsociat'oD, replying to Noble, points out that the Board of Control represents the cricket interests of Australia is evidenced by the faot that with the exception of South Australia all the governing bodies of cricket are represented IhereoD, Noble himself so far recognising its control of international cricket as to assist in electing flew South Wales representation. Sinoe the inception of the Association no oricket has been played without the concent of the Association, Players at the time of signing the agreement, with the Melbourne Club were aware that the Board would refuse to recognise an Unglish team unless they came at the invitation of the Board, and 'that thoy would be disqualified if they played against the team. He asks, if the agreement was so clear and above board, why the players kept it secret and refuse to produce it ?
