THE BACK DOOR.
I &To the Editor Gisborne Timea^ Sir,—Having read the letter in yestsrday morning’p paper, signed “ yerar,!’ I with muoh regret, I should liks to ask him if he was trying to obtain a drink per I medium of a back doer ? Then agaiD, I I cannot see why every opportunity ia taken I to cast a slur on the hotels in our district. Now, as a matter of faot, there were several commercial houses in the town on the same day ihit were apparently oloßed,.but behind theic doors the olerks and others rmployed were hard at work. Therefore, my contention is that if “ Verfl x ” felt it is duty to report on the oonduct of one line of business, why did h- not complete his report by exposing ail ot ers that trapse res ed ?—I am, ctc„ . HARRY MURAWAI. ’
