POISONED THROUGH SAD MISTAKE.

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. At the inquest on tbe infant Bertram Henry Wairington, the evidence ehowed that the nurse bsked for semi glycerine to give to the ohild, and was directed to a bottle on the mantlepiece.. There were two bottles, one with pure glycerine and the o'.her oontainir g glyoerioe and carbolic acid. She gave a teaepoonful from the latter to the infant, whioh ultimately died.

The jury returned a verdict of death from misadventure, aiding that gross negligence had been shown in not markirg a bottle eonla’ning carbolio and glycerine as poison.
