(P#r Press Association.) Wellington, last night | The following extraordinary Gazette was published to-day:—"lt is with deep rogret I have to annonnoe the death of the Bight Hon. Richard John Seddon, PC., Prime Mioister of New Zealand, on board •the s.s. .Oswestry Grange at seaon the
evening of Sunday, tho 10th day of June, at 26 minutes past six o’clock, 16 hours after leatiog Sydnoy for Now Zealand. "Officers of tho service throughout tho oolony are relieved from duty to-day and to morrow, and only urgont publio business will be transacted until tho day of the funeral, when tho whole of tho publio offices throughout tho oolony will bo closed.
