HOTEL AND OTHER PREMISES DESTROYED AT NAPIER.

Per Press Association; Napier, last night, The Otthdonian Hotel, owned by the White Swan Brewery Co., and occupied by Mr A, 0. Barnes, was completely destroyed by firo last evening. Tbe fire started shortly after 5 p m. in one of Iho upstairs bedrooms, and spread with great rapidity, completely demolishing the hotel and iho upstairs poitions of the business premises of Messrs T. Ftildiug, last night. Shortly after nino on Saturdoy night a firo was discovered in premises in Manchester street, owned by Mrs Manson, of Palmerßlon North, and occupied by T. W. I Potts, draper. It was extinguished without serious damage to the building. Tho stock was insured for £450 in the United office, and was almost totally destroyed. The stock of the adjoining premises, Hannah and. Co.’s boot shop, was badly damaged by water. Early the same evening a firo was discovered in the rear of the Oroua Club, but was extinguished without serious damage.
