At a mooting of delegates of country I sohool committees hold to-day, it was do* oidod to form a oouutry school oommilI toos' association, with bronchos in difI forent parts or wards, All tho delogatos I spoke strongly against tho age limit for free plaoos, oud it was rosolvod that the ago limit for free secondary scholarships bo obolishod ; that oaoh ward havo an equal number of scholarships, and that | tho Government bo requested to provide funds for all who qualified ; also, that an adequate sum be plaood at tho dhpo.al cf» the Education Boards in order that thoy might tnako suitable provision for having ohildren driven to' oentral sohools, with powor, after duo enquiry, to determine what should bo done in suoh cases. Mr Mackenzie, M.H.R., was oleolod president.
