HOTEL LICENSES
(Por Press Association.) Hawera, Saturdoy. The Licensing Committee refused all applications for 11 o’clock licenses. Hastings, Saturday, The Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee’s annual meeting was held at Hastings yesterday. No applications for renewals were refused. Some were granted on condition that improvements were effected. I Toe Committee ordered tbe rebuilding of the Pacific Hotel, to be ready wiilia 12 months. The. police reports were favorable with the exception of that referring to the Paoifio Hotel, and the application for renewal was adjourned for evidence. In reference to the Railway Hotel, which bad been in oourse of reconstruction for 12 months, three months’ extension was granted, This hotel contains 100 rooms, and will cost £12,000 when oomplitel. It will bo the most up to-date building in the district. Toe Committee deoided, by a bare majority, to adopt ten o’clock as the closing hour.
