At the annual meeting of the Farmers’ Union Fire losuranoo Company the report states that starting with £27,000 of risks at the end of the year it amounted to £79,478, represmting 278 policies. The net profit is £ll2 4a 2d, which goes to reserve. This is after paying tbo whole of the preliminary expenses, and is equal to a dividend of nearly 2i lOd per cent, on the amount insured,
