TO-NIGHT'S SOCIAL.

GREAT GATHERING ANTICIPATED.

The sooial to be held iu the New Zealand Bbippiog Company’s wool store tonight and to morrow night in aid of the school swimming baths promises to be a huge auoocss, end should establish a strong nucleus towards the ends in yiew. The buildiog has boen artistically and tastefully decorated, and the lighting has been elaborately carried out by the Gisborne Gas Company. The floor has been under the wheels of the motorist, Messrs Barlow aDd Ormond having kindly lent their cars, and will receive final touohes this afternoon under the direotion of Mr Webb. The supper is in theeapable hands of au energetic ladies' committee, and the arrangements in this direction should leave nothing to bo desired. The musio will be supplied by the City Bind, and the extras will be played by Mias Moore’s band. Speoial arrangements have been made in both the ladio,' and gents’ oloak rooms. Wrappers, etc-, will be folded up and handed to the attendant in charge, who will ticket them, giving a duplicate to the owner. For this gents will be charged sixponee and ladies nothing The various oommittees have worked assiduously towards the suocers of tbo sooial, and if their efforts meet with fair reward the function should eclipse anything of the kind ever held in Gisborne.
