A oablo has boon received by the Underwriters that the French barque Oaßßard has been wrooked at Falkland Islands. All hands wore saved, and landed oa the Islands.

The Oassard was homeward bound from Sydney, with a cargo of 27,000 bags of wheat.

The Underwriters have also rooeived cables reporting a fire in No. 4 hold of the steamer Perthshire. Part of the oargo has been jettisoned. Regarding the fire on the Waimate advices stato that it ooourred in No. 4 hold. It was extinguished with Blight damage, and the vessel resumed her voyßge,

The oargo of the Oassard, shipped by McArthur and Company, is understood to be insured in Lloyds, London, for about £20,000.
