OFFICERS AND CREW SAFE.
By, Electric Telegraph—Per Press !As*o«iatiou— Copyl'ight. London, May 30. The battleship Montagu is ashore at Shutter Point, Lundy Island, Devonshire. The accident occurred in a fog. It is reported the vessel is badly damaged. The crew is safe. Assistance has boon sent.
Received 10.88 p.m., May 31. LondoD, May 31. The Montagu was badly torn. She filled with water, and it is feared will become a total wreck. The officers and crew have been landed.
