.(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. At the Assessment Court a large number g.f other objections were heard, values being sustained in caeli instance. Mr I Izard has asked leave to appeal against the Court’s ruling tiiat the objectors must bring evidence to prove that their properties are over valued, and cannot rely oil cross-examination of the Government valuers for their purpose. Mr Izard also wishes to appeal against the sustainment of the valuation in two cases wherein he appeared as counsel. Mr Izard contends

that the Court should have taken into consideration the evidence tendered as to the returns owners should receive from their buildings.
