Amid shouts of " German Boulanger and “ Buffalo Bill,” Colonel Diemlmg, who is General Trotha's successor as Acting Government Commissary in SouthWest Afrioa, during n debate, excited the fury of the House by trying to dragoon | the Boiohstag into voting money. He added : " Se loDg as I have the honor to oommand, the southern districts will not be abandoned, unless the Kaiser ordew it. He alone has dtcided, and no one else.” The Radicals and Centre denounce Colonel Diemling’s unseemly language. The Reiobstag insists on the concentration of colonisation to a few pointr in ;South-West Afrioa, evacuating tho districts adjoining the Cape, whioh would re» i'»» five thousand troops.
