(For Press Association.} Auokland, last night. A fair amount of speculation is going on I over the two principal events at the Grea,t Northern Meeting. Hydrant, Romany King, .Exmoor, Cavalry, and Defender have each a good-following for the.Hurdlc Race, and Haydn, Aka Aka, and Sol aro the principal fancies for the Steeplechase. This morning Cyrano, Romany King, Pharos, Waiwera, Exmoor, Gold Crown, Rose Madder, Comfort, Eclair, Nadador, and Mawhiti," all of which are engaged at the A.R.C. Winter Meeting, arrived from the South.
