By Electric Telegraph-Pcr Press As#o«i ation—Copy r i gh t. Received I.S a.m., May 28. Bt. Petersburg, May 27.
The Dounui, with seven dissentients, demanded the immediate resignation of the Ministry and replacement by a Cabinet enjoining confidence. A vote was taken in consequence of the Ministerial reply to the Douma’s address, in which the Czar refused an amnesty and cautioned the Domna not to exceed its assigned legislative initiative and promised colorless legislative programme. During a stormy debate the reply was described as open defiance of the nation. Regret was expressed that the hopes consequent on Count de Witte’s resignation had not been fulfilled.
