It was also resolved “ That it is desirable that the Government should offer greater assistance to immigrant agricultural laborers, and that a Poultry Committee bo set up to watoh tbe progress of tariff revision in the interests of the farmers.” It was resolved that the conference strongly protests against the action of Mr Tregear, the Beoretiry for Labor, in giving suoh views as be has reoently done through the public press, showing that he is a leader in socialism, and opposed to the employers of labor, and,'therefore, it is not in tho interests of tbe community that be should continue in office, as he oannot administer tbe labor laws iu fairness as between employers and workers.
