At a representative meeting to-day of the Harbor Board, Chamber of Commerce, mayors of city and suburban boroughs, members oi Parliament, and others, resolutions were passed protesiincr against Government resuming H-rbor Board endow ments originally set apart to provide tevenus for the improvement of the port, end against closing street lines giving aooess to fo'flsbore ; a-king that adrqu->t-oompensa ion be given for land alreadv taken, and foil oompsns -.tion for any taken in future tba« Gov rnment should taka immediate steps to prevent 'h-» clajng of street lines connecting with the foreshore, and to re-open these already ploaed.
