Elizabeth Roy, the wife of Alfred Henry Roy, of Ravensbourne, was killed On Anderson’s Bay road by an electric car last night, She died in flic hospital without recovering consciousness at 1 o’clock this morning. Deceased leaves*, three children.

Later,—At the inquest on Elizabeth Roy, who died after being knocked down by a tramcar, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death, and added a rider recommending the erection of an electric light instead of a gas lamp in the locality. The evidence showed that deceased, who was addicted to drink, had not got on well with her husband since lie had taken out -prohibition order. She left home on 'Sunday morning'. Her luishand tried to induce her' to "go borne yesterday afterpppir, bpt left her when she atteinpted'to Scratch imp.
