ARRANGING FOR OUTSIDE STEAMERB DURING EXHIBITION.

The Government to-day entertained Mr Sodden with a trip round the harbor, including a visit to tbo training ship Bob raon. To-night ho dined with the Slate Governor, He haves on Monday for Melbourne. He proposes to extend his visit to Adelaide, subsequently returning to Melbourne. Mr Seddon was entertained by a numbot of New Zealand students attending th< various colleges here at lunch on Saturday
Received 5.12 p.m., May 20. Sydney, May 20. Mr Seddon has arranged with Australia papers to publish an extended budget o New Zealand news. The Premier being dissatisfied with th replies received from the Union Compan and Huddart-Parker in referenoa to th employment of large eteamers at reduce fares during the time of the exhibition ha communicated with other companies, sue as the P. and 0., Orient, and North Get man L'oyd on the subject. He also oon munioated with Sir Joseph Ward and M W. P. Reeves, High Commissioner, on th matter. In case these c;mpanies are m prepared to underteke the work, Mr See don is making inquiries in regard 1 chartering vessels. He has had an oil from a well-known London shipping fire the agent of which is at present in Sydne The firm has signified that it is quite pr pared to undertake the work on a sma percentage on a fixed annual charge.—«•
