A motion in favor of appointing a new Grand Lodge officer to be called Grand Counsel was dDcussed, and eventually it was withdrawn, A resolution was parsed instructing the Board of General Purposes to arrango for a conference of representatives of the Grond Lodge of Australasia, with a view of forming a Council of Reference, to whioh questions of Masonic autonomy and other Masonio mstters of reciprocal interest might from time to time bo preferred,
A motion in favor of Iho admission ol lad-'es as spectators at the installation ol Grand Masters was cousidirtd, and eventually adjourned until next annual communication.
A purse of sovereigns was presented to the Immediate Past Grand Master, the Most Worshipful Brother. A. H. Button, from the members of tbo craft in general, in recognition of his z al in the interests of Masonry during bis term,of office. Tbis oonoluded the business, and tbe Grand Lodge was closed in lue form, to re-assemble in Invercargill tvyitye months hence,
