BARQUE TALCA.
A PROTRACTED VOYAGE.

The Talca’s captain states that tbe crew refused duty about 1600 miles irom Tahiti, demanding to be put in to obtain medical aid. The pilot at Papeete harbor, after learning that there was typhoid aboard, obtained the bill of health, which showed that smallpox existed at Iquique when the Talaa sailed, and pro* mised to return with a doctor within an hour. The Taloa remained off the island j for five hours, and no assistance was sent. Darkness oomiog on and the Ta'ca drifting to leeward the crew consented to come on to Sydney.
