A DESPERATE CHARGE. ZULUS DISPLAY EXTREME BRAVERY.

BelieviDg themselves to be invulnerable they charged deeperately. The heavy losses which wero the result have undermined the witch doctor’s prestige. Maxims demoralised the waverers.
Bambaafa, mounted on a white horsei led the attack.
The rebels cheeked the column’s ad vanoe by firing the grass. The iofantry were eighteen hours march ing and fighting before they regained Fori Yolland.

The Daily Mail's Maritzburg correspondent says that two hundred Zulus, partly arinol with riflas and partly with assegais, displayed extrema bravery.

It is reported at Durban that assegai heads were made at Birmingham and Germany and imported to Zulu'and via Delagoa and Swszailand, also Snider cartridges.
