A fire at Wuikino on Saturday Digbt totally destroyed Montgomery’s Waikino hotel, tho Bbops of Howarihs (tobacconist), Hencossy (taior), Sbadbolt (draper), Waverloy’s boardinghouse, Montgomery’s billiard sa'oan, and Constable Flavell’B residence. Tuo fire sla t'd in the lamp room at the roar nf tho hot, 1, and spread with alauning rapidity. The toial los3, including insurances, is rcughly estimated at between £7OOO and £BOOO.

A ten rcornod houso atCaversbnm Rise, owned and occupied by Mrs W. B. Badger, was totally destroyed by fire last night. So ropid was tho progress of the flames, funned by a strong easterly wind, that nothing could be saved. The house waß insured for £550 in tho South Brilisti and the furniiuro for £7OO in the same office.
