WORKERS DISSATISFIED.

Owing to orders having come from headquartors that eomo of the navvies on the Mataroa-Turaogarere seotipn of the jforth Trunk railway who have been on day wages are to revert to the co-opera-tive system, between 40 and 50 men have left the works. During the last five weeks they have, through the weather, been earning only an average of 4s 2d per day. Experienced men object to being pot in gangs with novices. The moo point out that they havo to pay 40 to 50 per cant, more for necessaries than town woiksrs. The principal storekeepers have also gone on strike, and refuse stores to navvies without oasb.
