The captain of the Taloa says that his signals were misread at Tahiti. He only reported typhoid, not smallpox. After leaving there the weather continued ditty. The crew gradually recovered, and are now well
On arriving at the Hsads he was ordered to proceed to Geelong, but the captain decided to put in to replace the dead men and repenlish provisions. The Taloa has been quarantined pending her departure for Geelong.
