Capetown, May 2. The Cape Premier has offered to send free of oost a mule battery, six Maxims equipped and manned, Cape mounted riflemen, also a detachment of signallers. Mr Smythe replied that there was suffi cient forces in the field at present, but that he Will gratefully accept if the insurrection spreads.
