At the Tariff Commission Mr Brunisob, analytioa! ohemist of the Department of Agriculture, deposed tbit a severe analytical test had shown no d,Serenes in the physical and chemioal properties o! Queensland and Now Zealand pine used for butter boxes. Butter which had been enclosed 69 days in boxes of Queensland timber was absolutely free of any woody flavor, whereas there was a distinct woody flavor in butter pack'd for the Eame longth of time in New Zealand boxes.
