REBELS NUMBER 8000. By telegraph, Pte*i Aaa’n, Copyright Pietermaritzburg, April 30, Mr Smytbo learns that the rebels number 8000. It ia reported that two whitoa aro among tho rebels, who are suppoaed to bo connected with an influx of arms. Carb’nrors at Ukandbla bad a skirmish with Bambaata’a impi, armed with old rilles and assegais.

They will undertake as far as possiblo to try robels civilly. A patrol of oarbineerF shelled the rebel na'ives five miles from Ukundhla. Bambaata threatens to ejambok and shoot deserters.
