Between Thurrday evening and Friday morning the premises of Messrs Ferguson and Offer, bootmakers, of Bjmonds street, Auckland, were entered, and JE4 in oash etoleD, another sum left on the premises beiDg foitunately missed by the thieves. The intruders gained nooess to the premises by forcing the lock of an upstairs window at the rear of the shop, This is the second occasion on which Messrs Ferguson and Offer’s prerrrsos have beon burglariously entered. One of the largest deals that haß taken place in the Wairarapa (Wellington district) for eome time was effected a few days ago, when Mr W. B Ohennells, of Mastortoo, sold the Tiraumea Estate, comprising 10,171 aorep, to Mr J, 0. MoKorra-, of Wellington. It is Blated that the price paid for the estate and stock , wa9 over fbO.OOO.
