TURANGANUI CLUB. Some very interesting games were played last week on the above Club’s green. Of thematobes played on Saturday all interest was oentred in the semi-final of tbo Club Championship, in which Marlin defeated Nasmith, jar., by a narrow margin after a splendid game. The score wbb — Martin 16 Nasmith, jor. 11
Nasmith secured the lead, being 4 to 3 nn the sth head. Tbe 10th bead siaw Nasmith with 8 to 5, and the 15th head 10 te 9. Martin drew up on level terms on tha 17tb, and a splendid " go ” to the finish left Martin the viotor.
Nasmith, senr. 25 Young 11 This game was in Nasmith’s favor throughout, holoiog his opponent safe, He was 6 to 3 on the sth head, 14 to 5 on the 10th, 21 to 8 on the 15ib, With the finish as above.
