Ward and Mr Chapmen, aooompauied by the Canadian delegates to tbe Postal Congress, paid a long visit to the etbergraph station at Montemacion. Daring their visit wireless messages were exohaDgcd with Mada'ana, two hundred miles away. The visitors were greatly impressed, and deolared that an installation in Australasia wonld be of great service. They also carefully examined the Government’s private telephone system. Mr Chapman devotes considerable energy to securing a deoision by the Congress regarding the rates obarged in connection with the te'ephOuC system.
