NUMBER OF MEN DROWNED,
SURVIVORS HAVE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES.

Colombo files report that the steamer Northumbria lauded the captain and ten men of tho Danish barque Tercera, wrecked in the Mozambique obannel during a heavy gale on February 9th. The vessel was bound for Zanzibar with a cargo of Cardiff coal. The captaiu, mate andfouiteen men WEre washed onto a small barren island, in a destitute con» dition. The rest, the number being unstated, were drowned.
The mate aud four men subsequently started for Madagascar iu a boat, but bad not since been heard of. Those on the island subsisted for 24 days on Bhell fisb. They were almost naked, and suffered severely from the intense heat ani shortness of food.
