(Per Press Asaocdation.) Thames, last night. * Attention is being paid to the vast area ' of Piako lands, to be known as the Haus ' raki Plains. Several thousand aores are available for settlement, the total area ' being nearly a quarter of a million aores. • ~ Experiments conducted by Government on these lands in planting flax trres have been highly successful, the plants looking v< splendid.
