FROZEN MEAT. (Far Prana Association.) Napier, last night. Tho Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has cabled to«day : Values for frozen meat oontinue to deoline. North Island mutton and first and seoond quality lamb have fallen oneeighth of a penny. To-day’s quotations are : Canterbury mutton, 4|d ; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, BJI ; lamb, first 4 Jl, seoond 4£l; beef, hiods 3:jd, fores 2£d.

SALE AT MATAWHERO. .YARDS,. Tbo Matawkero stock sales were held yesternooD. There was a large attendance, and bidding was brisker than usual for sheep. Mr A. F. Kennedy conducted the sale for Messrs Williams and Kettle, and in the absenoe of Mr G. R. Wyliie officiated bs auctioneer.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. and Common, Shelton and Co, bad a yarding of 1500 sheep and 300 head of cattle, There was good competition for wethers, which brought up to 15s 61. All lines were quitted. Eighty-nine fat wethers brought 15s 6d, 633 forward wethers 155,-500 small two-tooth wethers 13

Cattle ; This yarding comprised some fine lots. The sale for oattle was rather

Nine poikers brought 30s, 10 store pigs 21s, three big sows passed at £2 Bs.
