Frewin was elected with gri enthusiasm. Gore, last night The result of the Gore Mayora wasA. A. McGibbon, 408; Speden, 226. Westport, last night Mr G. H, Gothard was re-elect Mayor of Westport by a majority 557 over Mr T. Samuel. New Plymouth, last night The Mayoral election resulted: Edward Dockrill, 776 ; John B. Bo 427; informal, 12. Both candidat were ex-Mayors. The Stratford election resulted the return of the present, Mayor, 5 N. J. King, by a majority’bf 205, Neleon, last nigbt, Considerable interest was taken in t eleotion of Mayor of Nelson, which i suited in the return of Mr Jesse Pipt with a majority of 151 over Mr_J>j Harrison. Mr W. Looh was the second candidate. Wanganui, last night The Mayoral election resulted t O. Mac Kay 1171, A. G. Bignell (preue Mayor) 1055. The oontest was the keem on record, Napier, last night. Mr S. Carnell was to day re-elect Mayor of Napier for a third terra, defei iDg two ex-Oounoillors, Messrs McGra and CraDby. Mr T. J. Thompson, an ex Counoillt was elected Mayor of Hastings, defeatii the present Mayor, Mr W; Y. Dennett, 1 60 votes. Wellington, last night.
