A court-martial in connection with the recent ragging iDoident in the Soots Guards resulted in Colonel Cuthbert being relieved of his command, Captain Tracey of bis adjutancy, and the four arrested lieutenants lose a year's seniority. The lieutenant who was the vic'.im of the ragging has left the regiment. The evidence disclosed that the raggiDg was not connected with a lack of funds, but in oonsequence of the doctors’ report that the lieutenant was suffering from an unpleasant disease, due to his personal habits.
