The scow Warrior, which loft tho brookwater on Thursday afternoon with timber for Wanganui, is roportod to be ashore at Ookura. Tho soow Warrior loft tho broakwotor nt 3 pm. on Thursday for Waoganui. It was very dark ut 5.30 when she was oil Oakura, At nine p.m. tho wind sbifiod and dropped. Captain Anderson tried to go about, but ihe vessel wool] not anawer. She woie round, but could uot work out. The crew let go tbo anohors, but they would not bold, and (be scow drifted ashore. Tho crew got o£f at midnight at low water, when Ihe voseel was high and dry. They saved the papers and their beloDgiDgs. The vessel will probably break up. She is timbor laden for the Warganui Sash and Door Company. The Warrior was built eight years ago in Auckland, and was well found. She was owned by Captain Seymour, To Kapuru, and is believed to bo uninsured. The vessel lies near where tbo Qairloch was wreoked.
