There was a narrow escape from a great disaster, Six firemen were injured in fighting the flames. Sydney, April 20. Gibbs, Bright and Company’s buildings included the premises of Parlery and Henty, merchants, Lyaaghi’s galvanised iron 1 manufactory, Australian Timber and Export Company, and the Bile Beane Manufacturing Company. The latter’s premises were completely destroyed, and extensive damage was done to the others. The buildiDg was insured for £20,000.
