BOY DROWNED.

Napier, last Dight, A sad drowning fatality ocourrad here this afternoon, by which a lad Darned Matthew O’Brien, about six and a half years of age, son of Constab'e O’Brien, lost his life. The little fellow had gone to tbe Tutaekuri river, at the b ok of the recreation ground, to sail a m-dJ yacht, aod slipped inlo the water. Ali tie girl who had accompanied him weDt to tbe lod’s home, and told the deceased boy’s elder brother, who at once went to tbe scene of tbe accident, but though he dived immediately and searched the spot, it was not for some little time afterwards that ho recovered the body, about 200 yards ■ away from where the boy had fallen in,
