During the last three days the manager has been pumping the hero dear of sand, and having tecently completed sinking a sxinch casing to a depth of 2300 odd Let, the water, which has been the principal difficulty in the past, is now effectually shut oil. To day a considerable quantity of oil was pumped. It is expected that in another two days the bore will be completely cleaned out, and marketable oil be 11 jwiug in considerable quantity.. Gas is eecsping in great quantities, being utilised to fire tho boiler used for driving the pumps. Tho mensger is saoguinely confident of Euecess.
