MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
(Per Piess Association.) Inglewood, last night, Mr W. Porcival, the present Mayor, was the only one nominated for the Mayoralty for the forthcoming year. Dannevirke, last night.
The present Mayor, Mr Patterson, and ex-Mayor Mr Rees, have been nominated for the Mayoralty. Timaru, last night, Mr J. Craigie, the only candidate for the Mayoralty, was re-elected for the fifth year in succession.
Oamaru, last night. Mr Robert Milligan was re-elected unopposed for the second term as Mayor.
Invoroargill, last night. Mr W. B. Scandret has been returned unopposed as Mayor of Invercargill for the third consecutive term. Dnnedin, last night. Or George Lawrence has been elected Mayor of Dunedin unopposed. Mr Clark has beon re-elected Mayor of Palmerston South unopposed, Hawera, last night. Or J. W. Hirst has been returned as Mayor unopposed. Blenheim, last night.
Mr Edward H. Penny, the only candidate for the Blenheim Mayoral chair, was to-day duly declared elected for his second year.
Fioton, last night. Dr. Redman has been elected Mayor of Picton unopposed. Wellington, last night.
The Hon. T. W. Hislop has been re-elected Mayor of Wellington unopposed.
Woodville, last night. Mr Hubert Burnett lias been reelected Mayor without opposition. Masterton, last night. Mr A. Renall, the present Mayor, was re-elected unanimously. The nomination paper was signed by seven councillors. Palmerston North, last Dight, Mr Cohen, the present Mayor, was the only one nominated for the Mayoralty for the forthcoming year. Auckland, last n'ght, Mr A. M. Myers, the present Mayor, and Mr A L. Bradley, have been nominated for the City Mayoralty.
Thames, last night. Mr Archibald Burns has been reelected Mayor of Thames. Other elections (unopposed) are : Miramar, Mr T. Townsend. Lower Hutt, Mr T. W. McDonald. Gore, Cr. J. Galt. Christchurch, Sir John Hall, Messrs G. London, present Mayor, and H. Findlay contest Petone.
