A financial articlo in tho Daily Telegraph, while declaring that tho Statist’s ostimato that twonty millions had beon sent Home for investment is exaggerated, admits that twelve millions had boon remitted within tho past two years. A unanimous agreement has been arrived at by representatives of New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia for settlement of the Murray water diflicully, Tho limitation placed on Now South Wales, pending tho establishment of a system of water conservation works, has beon fixed at 220,000 feet per minute, and on Victoria 130,000 cubic feet during the dry months of the year. South Australia must not bo seduced below 70,000 cubic feet per minute. Commenting on the stand taken by the Victorian Labor Conference against protectionist overtures, tho secretary of the Now South Wales Political Labor League states that the Labor party have decided to look to their own platform for their industrial salvation.
