(Per Pres* Association.) Auckland, last night. The warship Prometheus, which recently returned to port owing to an accident to her propeller, resumed her voyage to Sydney this afternoon. Christchurch, last night. The weather has been phenomenal since April Ist, there having been only one hour of rain during that time, which fell on April 9th, between 9 and 10 o’clock. Reports from the country districts as to pasture, etc., are of a most cheerful character. The days are exceptionally warm, but some nights are frosty. 1 Thirty thousand persons trayelled by tramway in Christchurch on Easter Monday.

He suffered frorn heart easeGeorge Brooks, aged 15, died m the hospital this morning, the result of a bullet wound in the abdomen. He was playing with a toy pistol with other boys when it went off.
