Play was continued to-day in the provincial lawn tennis tournament at Brougham Hills court. The following are the results- - —Hen’s championship singles : H M. Gore beat F. M. B. Fisher, 10—8,6—1. Ladies championship singles; I£ics A Ward beat Miss L. Powdrell, 5-7,'.6 2, 6 —2. Men’s handicap singles, first grade": idroyt-he (8) beat Cook (25), 60 iisndioap doubles : Brown and Green (13) beat A. YeuDg and Fisher (owe 10), 70— 32. Ladies’ handicap doubles; Misses Morgan and Arthur (25) beat Mrs Marchbanks and Miss Simpson (8), 50 —33. Combined handioap doubles : Smytbe and Miss Jackson (5) beat Jackson and Miss Foster (13), 50—45. The final for the combined championship doubles will be played to-morrow. In this Fisher and Mrs Holmes Brown and Miss Travers.
