SCENIC COMMISSION.
A DISSOLUTION. (Par Presa Association.) Wellington, last night. A commission, consisting of Mr 8. Percy Smith, of Taranaki, formerly Sur-veyor-General ; Mr. Msthows, chief Slate forester ; Mr Smith, of Ashburton, and a representative of the native raoe, which was set up by Government three years ago to advise what areas in.various parts of the oolony should be reserved for scenic purposes, haß been dissolved. Arrangements bavo been made whereby the work will be carried on by officials of the Tourists and Lands Depaitment.
